​Sugar Grove Developmental Day School

Location:  Sugar Grove

Position:  Lead Infant (Full Time)

Compensation/Benefits:  $12-$15/hour depending on education and experience

Qualifications:  Must be at least 18 years old. Degree in Early Childhood Education preferred, but will also accept individuals who are nearing completion of this degree, or have a bachelors degree in a related field. 

​Responsibilities:  Providing a safe, healthy and nurturing classroom environment for the infants in your charge, writing and implementing lesson plans to enrich their growth, communicating with parents, and working with an assistant to follow state guidelines and keep the classroom clean.

Position:  Full and Part time assistants

Compensation/Benefits:  $10- $13 depending on education and experience

Qualifications:  Must be at least 18, and have a High School Diploma. Classes taken in pursuit of an Early Childhood degree, or a degree in a related field are a plus!

​Responsibilities:  Supervision of a group of 14-18 children ages 5-12 under the direction of a program coordinator, creating engaging activities, cleaning and sanitizing.

Little Jewels Home Child Care/Western Watauga Family Child Care Homes

Location:  Watauga County

Position:  Substitute Shared between three Family Child Care Homes

Compensation/Benefits:    Guaranteed 20 hours minimum per week.   Compensation and Benefits- $13-$15 per hour, flexible working hours.  Opportunity to love, nurture and educate young children in a small setting. Compensation for trainings required by the State of NC

Qualifications:  21 years old, High School Diploma, Means of transportation, and a love for early childhood

​Responsibilities:   Professional substitute for multi age children in a 5 star family childcare environment. We are three family child care homes and would share a substitute between us. Substitute would need all the training and documentation of a lead teacher. You would be compensated for your time to complete training.

Communication Disorders Clinic, Preschool Language Classroom
Location:  Boone

Position:  Part-Time Early Childhood Teacher

Compensation/Benefits:  $16-24 per hour

Qualifications:  Bachelor’s degree in Child Development or Birth through Kindergarten and at least 2 years of related experience

​Responsibilities:  Oversee basic physical care of children and general safety of the classroom environment. Plan and implement curriculum and developmentally appropriate instruction for children 2 to 5 years of age. Maintain effective working relationships with clinical educators, student clinicians, and other members of educational/clinical teams.
