  "Elevated Dads" Group Is In Full Swing!
This weekly Dad meet-up is an opportunity for fathers to gather and hang out with other male caregivers. The purpose is to share thoughts, questions, and concerns while building their community. This group will meet weekly and offer free childcare and a meal!
The group is open and meets on Thursday evenings from 5:30-7:00PM upstairs at the Children's Council

REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS
The Children’s Council of Watauga County, Inc., the local Smart Start partnership for Watauga County, NC, requests proposals for the following services:
  1. Lending Library
  2. Technical Assistance (TA) Consultation & Coaching: Classroom Assessment Scoring System (CLASS) for Infant, Toddler, and Pre-K
  3. TA Consultation & Coaching: DCDEE Approved Curriculum and Assessments
  4. TA: Other Supports to Early Childhood Educators (ECE)
  5. TA Consultation & Coaching: Start Up
  6. Kaleidoscope Play & Learn
  7. Parents As Teachers©
  8. DUAL SUBSIDY QUALITY Enhancement PROGRAM
 All services that receive Smart Start funding must benefit children 0-5 years and their families and be focused on early childhood quality, early childhood workforce support and development, family support, health, and/or school readiness.  Funding is available for a three- year period beginning July 1, 2025, and ending June 30, 2028.   For required proposal forms contact Elisha Childers at the Children’s Council by email at: [email protected].
