FAMILY support programs:
- We all need a little extra help from time to time. The following programs are available for eligible families and provide individualized, concrete, wrap-around support to assist families in becoming more self sufficient. If you are interested in joining one of these programs or would like more information, please call our office or email Robin Triplett, Family Services Coordinator, at robin@thechildrenscouncil.org.

ADOLESCENT PARENTING PROGRAM
This free program serves pregnant and first time parenting teens between the ages of 13 and 19. The program’s goal is to support teens staying in school, deliver and raise healthy children, and to offer support through the trials of becoming a parent. As a teen parent, this program can help you…
· Receive your high school diploma or G.E.D.
· Receive college readiness and enrollment
· Receive job readiness
· Receive one-on-one attention from staff to help you achieve your goals
· Be a strong, positive role model for your child
Through home visits, group meetings, social outings, and a lending library of educational toys and materials, we work to support young parents so they can support their children.

WCCI Adolescent Parenting ConversationTake a few minutes and treat yourself to this great video, featuring our very own Marie Brumfield! This is a great opportunity to learn more about our Adolescent Parenting Program. This presentation was provided by the Watauga Compassionate Community Initiative (WCCI) weekly Wednesday call. Marie shares with us stories of resiliency and connection of both young mothers and fathers alike.
